Yahara River Variety Show
The Yahara River Variety Show will debut July 26 on stage of Historic Stoughton’s, totally renovated, 100 year old, opera house. It’s the largest 2nd story opera house in the Midwest, featuring one of the most amazing, original curtains you’ll ever see. A live old-time, hometown radio show, will perform on-stage featuring Stoughton’s own Sid Boersma as the host to a wide variety of talented performing local and regional artists. The show will be broadcast live on WSTO-TV and streamed on the internet. Show tickets will be available at stores all over Stoughton. For information about rehearsals:

Some of Wisconsin’s well known artists including Steven Kozar and Derek Hambly will be featured along with demonstrations and classes at various locations. In-store silent art auctions all up and down Main Street will be raising money for Stoughton’s Preserve America grant fund.
Street Art
Fine Artsy Fair street performers include a caricature artist, juggler, balloon artist, as well as acoustic musicians performing on Main Street throughout the day. Activities for children abound with a bouncy tent, a dunk tank, a story art hour at the library, sidewalk chalk drawing, and face painting, among other fun things to do and see.
MusicFest
Music will start on the main stage at 1pm featuring a wonderful mix local and regional acts including local favorites The Sharp and Harkins Band. Expect an eclectic variety of musical styles such as acoustic folk, blues, and rock. We will also have a beer garden sponsored by Stoughton Spirits so you can enjoy an ice cold tap beer on a warm summer day.

In addition to area vendors hosted by the Optimists Club, local vendors include El Rio Grande, Cheesers, Yahara River Grocery Co-op, Stoughton Hospital, Jamerica, The Sons of Norway, and even a Hot Dog Cart provided by Mike’s Liquor.
